The product is supplied as 3–5 kg ingots or broken pieces, clean, dry, and completely free from grease or slag. Packaging is provided in 45-gallon drums with a maximum pallet weight of 1,500 kg.

Chemical & Physical Specifications

Element Specification Limits Test Method
Iron (Fe) Balance ICP
Carbon (C) 4.0 – 4.5 wt. % Leco
Silicon (Si) Max 0.3 wt. % ICP
Manganese (Mn) Max 0.3 wt. % ICP
Sulphur (S) Max 0.025 wt. % Leco
Phosphorus (P) Max 0.025 wt. % ICP

Production Method

Smelters produce this pig iron by smelting iron ore in a blast furnace and then casting it into ingots. The controlled carbon and impurity levels ensure consistent mechanical properties and reliable performance in secondary steel and alloy manufacturing.

Quality and Compliance

Suppliers must notify DKL Metals of any process, raw material, or production changes that may affect the quality of the product. Any modification requires written approval from DKL Metals before supply.

Each shipment includes a full Certificate of Analysis, Material Safety Data Sheet, and all documentation required under CLP and REACH compliance.
