UK Engineered Quality Control Solution
The DKL Solder Sampling Kit transforms solder quality verification from guesswork into precision science. Distributed from Grangemouth, Scotland, for electronics manufacturers requiring reliable alloy certification and process validation.
As part of the Fenix Metals Group, we manufacture our alloys in the UK using high-purity materials sourced directly from our Group refinery in Poland. By leveraging our partner’s status as an ITA Member and RMAP Conformant Smelter, we ensure your material is backed by ISO 9001/14001/45001 certified production and ethical sourcing. Every batch is formulated with Best Available Technology (BAT) refined metals to guarantee the highest performance in your bath.
This vertical integration allows us to provide customised reviver top-up alloys utilising tin with a low carbon footprint (3.6t CO₂e/t), ensuring your solder bath remains within its strict chemical specification while supporting your sustainability goals.
Solder Sampling Kit FAQ
What sample sizes does the kit support?
+
With its tapered cavity: 40mm base diameter, 46mm top diameter, 7mm depth, the sample kit produces 50-100g samples depending on solder alloy density.
How do I take an accurate molten metal sample for analysis?
+
To ensure an accurate molten metal sample: 1. Mix the bath thoroughly to the bottom to prevent alloy segregation. 2. Skim dross from the surface using a preheated sampling scoop. 3. Pour the metal into the aluminium mould immediately to prevent cooling. 4. Inspect for defects; if dross or cold lap (layering) is present, resample immediately to ensure chemical integrity.
Is solder analysis free for DKL customers?
+
Free solder analysis available to loyal DKL customers. Contact sales for eligibility and complete service details.
